Sustainable Growth:
A Personal Commitment to Shared Progress
To me, sustainable growth means leading with purpose—where environmental care, inclusive development, and community empowerment go hand in hand. It’s about stewarding our natural resources wisely, advancing clean energy and responsible waste practices, and ensuring that no community—especially in the countryside—is left behind. Through every initiative I support, I strive to model a kind of leadership that’s collaborative, accountable, and rooted in long-term impact. This page reflects that journey.
Areas I’ve Focused on
Care for the Environment
Protecting the environment is personal. It’s how I honor the communities I serve and the future I believe in. Stewardship isn’t just strategy—it’s responsibility, rooted in action and shared impact.
Community Engagement
I care deeply about those who’ve been left behind. Service is how I lead—with empathy, action, and a belief that dignity should never depend on circumstance.
Education Outreach
I believe every child holds the power to uplift their family—and their future. When we equip them with knowledge and technology, we don’t just teach skills—we break barriers. Education is how we help the next generation leap forward, not just economically, but with dignity and purpose.
Driving Sustainable Growth Impact Sourcing – Rural BPO
DSDS2015: Driving Inclusive Growth through Rural BPO
At the Digital Strategies for Development Summit in Cebu, I shared our experience with Impact Sourcing through Rural BPO—showing how technology-enabled jobs can transform underserved communities. I called on BPOs and government leaders to invest in countryside development, proving that inclusive growth isn’t just possible—it’s scalable. “When we bring opportunity to the margins, we don’t just create jobs—we unlock futures.”

Inspiring Stories of Sustainable Growth
Discover how responsible innovation drives growth and empowers communities through our proven sustainable methods.

Uniting for Manila Bay: A Public-Private Pledge Toward Coastal Sustainability
As President of the Cavite CSR Council, I joined regional leaders at the East Asian Seas Congress 2009 to pledge support for the Public-Private Partnership for the Rehabilitation of Manila Bay. Representing Cavite’s coalition of government and corporate stakeholders, we formalized our commitment to long-term environmental stewardship. “True sustainability begins when communities and corporations co-own the future of our coastlines.”
Formalizing a Vision for Collective Impact
Marixi Carlos shakes hands with Cavite Governor Ayong Maliksi following the official swearing-in and establishment of the Cavite CSR Council. This landmark moment marked the beginning of a province-wide commitment to sustainable development, uniting government and corporate leaders under a shared mission of responsible innovation and community stewardship. “We didn’t just form a council—we launched a movement rooted in collaboration, accountability, and lasting impact.”

Corporate Stewards Leading from the Front
In one of its earliest initiatives, the Cavite CSR Council organized a tree planting event to demonstrate hands-on commitment to environmental care. Corporate leaders, including Marixi Carlos, led the charge—planting alongside community members to model sustainability in action. This event marked a powerful moment of shared responsibility, where business and civic values took root together. “We showed up not just as sponsors—but as stewards, ready to dig in and lead by example.”
